Hey, I’m Yori. I’m a producer, drummer & md, and I give lots of shit about what I do.

I’ve been living off of music for the past 12 years. I have toured and produced music all over the world. I’ve worked with all kinds of artists big and small. I just like working with talented and creative people, building relationships and creating great art.

I really give lots of shit about the music that I make and the people that I work with. And each day I wake up grateful for being able to do this!

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: to be honest, my latest solo release. I love all the little production and sound elements that I was able to put in.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: New releases for my own project, music for signed artists and music for people from all over the world

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital: Fast, endless possibillity's and I love working behind my laptop

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: that we are gone make something that's gonna feel true to yourself.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Working with so many different and talented people, and being able to create music every single day.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Q : What's the price? A : What do you want to do :-p

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That a producer is just a beat maker.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What is the vision of the song? what goals do you want to achieve? whats your inspiration?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you feel comfortable with the producer and make sure he or she understands the vision behind the music.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: my laptop, headphones, chicken wings, BBQ and some beer :-p

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've studied drums at the conservatory of Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and have been playing with al the big artists in the Netherlands for the last 15 years. But in the last 5 years I've been mostly focussed on production.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: HipHop influenced vibes in which you can feel how you want and be who you want. I hope that's not to vague.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Kanye west, because he's just a legend. Next to that, Rihanna.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: Making the artist shine and make sure to set the right vibe, groove and soundscape around them to be able to shine.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: I think having a conversation with the artist is an important thing. I want to find out what exactly it is they are looking for and what the objectives are with the song. This makes the rest of the process so much easier and faster.

  33. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  34. A: At this point my process is mostly in the box. I've been using some external gear but I want to be able to produce everywhere I go, If a song needs some revisions I want to do it as fast and good as possible. Also I'm a professional drummer and I have lots of great musicians around me so I'm always able to use them to get some real musicians on the track if necessary.

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: dang! there's so much inspiration out there! lets name a few: Kanye West, J Dilla, Mr Carmack, The Weeknd, Halsey, Dillip, James Blake, John Coltrane, Pharrell, Timbaland, Bon Iver, Banks, Kehlani and so manny more.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: Most artists come to me when they have a song written. I then have a conversation about what direction the artists wants to go and what the goals are. That way I can make sure the productions fits all their needs and make a plan to achieve their goals.

  39. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  40. A: Experiment and never forget the power of silence!

  41. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  42. A: Mostly darkpop, trap, hiphop, alt RnB inspired music

  43. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  44. A: Listening :-D
