Atlas is a full service recording studio located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago that specializes in Punk Rock and beyond. Atlas was founded in 1996 by producer & engineer Matt Allison to fill the need for a studio that catered to Chicago’s punk scene. After establishing itself and gaining a loyal client base, Atlas moved to it’s current location in 2005. Artists from Alkaline Trio to Less Than Jake and everywhere in-between have found their homes at Atlas, crafting iconic albums that have provided an important voice to the punk community. In it’s 2,000 square foot facility, Atlas houses a list of high quality preamps, microphones, and one of the best sounding live rooms in the city.
