Sage is a quality engineer, iv worked with him multiple times and various different projects. Excellent service! helped evolve my music, and did so much detail to my songs that I could not do with my own ears. Thanks you bro!
Interview with SAGEBEATS
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We will have open communication, I work quickly & efficiently, providing the highest possible quality product.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A UK Drill project with a local artist.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I believe it's just getting better and better, it's a fraction of the cost and the difference is inaudible to the consumer.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Just a little bit about the project & if there are any reference tracks.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be respectful
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started playing in bands at 14, got my Music Production Degree at 23 & went to work in a recording studio, mostly doing charity recording sessions. Whilst the work was fulfilling I chose to go freelance 2 years after working there. I work independently and as part of a collective as the engineer creating & selling Hip-Hop beats.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean & Dark
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sweat over the details.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop, Trap & Drill
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Producing
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Wake up. Coffee. Go.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work entirely in the box, using a mixture of FabFilter & Waves plugins. I'll either mix on my headphones or on my Yamaha speakers.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing & Mastering Hip-Hop instrumentals and vocals
