Nicholas Harral on SoundBetter

I work most often with up and coming talent and specialize in creating rich, dynamic tracks with a vibe unique to every project. My goal is always to spotlight the artist through production; not get in the way of the song or the story being told.

I am a producer, composer and musician with a degree in music and audio engineering from California Sate University Monterey Bay. I am based in Los Angeles and specialize in many styles of pop, electronic, hip-hop and so much more.

Music can tell a story like no other artistic medium through feeling and emotion. With the right sounds, tones and textures, emotion can be further harnessed to help music bloom into a beautifully impactful experience and man, I just can't get enough!

I'd love chat with you! Whether its about possibly collaborating or just geeking out about music my proverbial door is always open so shoot me a message. Hope we can make a tune!

I just finished a production job with Nicholas and I’m very happy with the outcome. The production was spot on and his turn-around time was fantastic. Communication was kind, precise and humorous as always. Continued recommendation here!

Nick was such a joy to work with! I worked on my very first single with him, so I didn't know how the process of producing, mixing, and mastering a song was supposed to go. He was very patient with me the whole time and gave me an unlimited amount of times to discuss musical ideas and demos. He took those ideas and created a beautiful backing track for my song that was better than what I could've ever dreamed of! I'm definitely looking forward to working Nick again.

A few years after Nicholas and I graduated from college where we met through working a FOH job at the local Black Box theater, he surprise produced a short demo of a song I posted on my IG. I was shocked at the quality of the production and quickly began writing the rest of what would become a 14 song album completely produced by Nicholas. He even gave me the inspiration for the title of the album, Ladylike. Honestly, I could NOT have made something so incredible without his expertise. Thank you friend, you are incredible and our record is the best thing I've ever released.

Nicholas Harral is a gem in the music industry, and any work that I have done with him has been taken far beyond what I expected when he's been involved in the production process. He knows his stuff, and if he doesn't know something, he won't fake it. He also makes a ton of room for other talented people and offers one of the best things a producer can offer: listening before assuming. He's well-versed in electronic, pop. and also string arranging, so bringing a ton of musicality to the sometimes stale programming world. He's also just an honest guy, so he does what he says he will do.

I've worked with Nick on a number of projects, and he is a fantastic producer and composer. His ability to create and mesh tons of different genres is astounding, and his knowledge of production and sound design is unparalleled. Outside of his musical abilities, Nick is extremely easy to work with. He's patient, kind, gentle, and listens well to the preferences of the talent he works with. I'd absolutely recommend him to anybody.
