Interview with Rever Deep
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: i ask for reference songs and what there brand is portraying, cause it goes beyond just how their track sounds the mastering also goes into whether it fits with the brand your going for.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: find out what plugins they love to use and why, if they cant answer that then they dont know what they are doing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: edm and hip hop is pretty much all i work on, dont really touch, rock, jazz, country, or hardstyle, trance.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: first i drop in the files and listen to what it is that makes the songs sound good. i make sure to not change that aspect of it. Then i make the volumes sit good together. then cutout bad frequencies, look to see if it needs side chaining for the kick to punch, do some trade secrets and then boom.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I love my setup, i gotta production desk with some neon lights, behind that is a vocal booth from the whispering room.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: for my clients in person, I'm there go to guy for every part of the music process, even the marketing! I have had a marketing company called Quemini Marketing for around 2 years now lol. but for now on this site i wanted to start with mixing and mastering now only for the side hustle but to help me stay in the studio longer (aka my first love lol).
