Western Mastering on SoundBetter

Mastering is most of what I'll do, but I also mix. Almost entirely for remote clients, all over the world. My website below has more information and more examples of work.

DDP 2.0 available. CD Text. Noise reduction / removal. Vocal tuning & comping. Additional production. Keyboards and synthesizer, playing and programming. More examples at http://www.markdownie.com.

Mastering. Take off final FX added for loudness. Export .wav or .aiff, at bits (24 / 16) & sample rate you mixed it at (44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kbps). Don't use dither, or up-sample to a higher sample rate.

For Mixing, I price per track, not per song / hour. It's designed to help small projects (singer songwriters, Americana) plus those with sensible track counts. Go ahead - send a ton of tracks, you'll pay more for it.

I accept Pro Tools project files, put them in a ZIP, upload to a free service, like We Transfer or Drop Box. Then send me a link. I can accept Sonar Bundle files or an OMF, every major DAW now exports in OMF.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

This was my first time working with Western and I was very impressed at how quickly Mark was able to return high quality masters to me. Since I'm still learning about sonic dynamics and the art of mastering, I appreciated the detail of the masters Mark provided, with commentary on all the main features and tweaks made (this helped me understand the process).

Amazing. Highly recommend this guy, he was very patient and delivered exactly what I wanted the first time. Also went out of his way to educate myself and my producers how to probably mix a beat so the master could be 1000 times better. Overall a good guy and a even better mastering engineer. Highly recommend!
