I'm a songwriter who can bring a new angle into every collaboration. Working with Platinum songwriters, this honed my craft, and developed my confidence to write in many styles and be ready with new ideas and titles by the bucket load. I can change your lyrics from okay to epic.
My experience includes being mentored by Ray Davies (The Kinks), and Dominic King (Stardust, Music sounds better with you) - I've learnt to work fast and to a high standard as a given. I love to work with strong images and honest emotions, expressing them in new ways. My lyric writing has been described as ‘excellent’.
I have provided music tracks for advertising projects, and currently have songs pitched for sync placements. New projects include working with unsigned artists, co-writing and helping to develop their own styles.
If English is not your natural language, I can help with translations for your songs.

Hugh was as usual - professional, on time, consistent and responsive. He's so creative, his lyrics tell a story and paint a whole world at the same time. Looking forward to working with him again!
I had a great experience working with Hugh. He was responsive, thoughtful and willing to spend the time communicating with me. He brought a fresh sensibility to my original lyrical draft that opened up new options for the song. Thank you, Hugh.
Hugh was professional, polite, patient and responded well to all my visions and ideas. This isn't my first project with Hugh, and I'll def. come back for my next one.

I have worked on projects on a number of occasions, fantastic to work with from the initial idea to completion, so thorough with attention to detail.
