After being lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for Sony Music-signed rock band Destine, Robin Van Loenen (Robin Valo) started a full-time career as a songwriter and producer in 2013. Besides working in several genres such as pop and rock, he collaborated with lots of dance artists, releasing co-written tracks with Hardwell, Blasterjaxx, Mike Williams, Timmy Trumpet, Yves V and Paris Hilton; featuring as vocalist on some of them under the moniker Robin Valo.
