Vintique Sound

Mixing & Mastering Engineer

Vintique Sound on SoundBetter

I'm a musician, turned electronic music producer, turned mixing & mastering engineer. I've had the pleasure of working with talented artists such as Ante Svircic, Leonard, Gypsy Mobile, Stephanie Harpe, Timmy James, Mindwiser, & Cataclysm. Some of my mixes have found their way to Howie Weinberg Mastering & various radio stations.

I provide professional mixing, mastering, & editing for many styles of music. My studio is acoustically treated with Auralex acoustic foam and bass traps, arranged using custom designed wooden panels, and tuned using Sonarworks Reference 4 software, which makes it an ideal environment for recording, mixing and mastering.

I can also tackle smaller jobs such as vocal comping, vocal tuning, session editing/quantization of all sorts. I'm also available for hire as a lead or assistant recording engineer at various recording studios around the city.

Interview with Vintique Sound

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: I'm inspired by vintage and modern mixing techniques. I've developed an "in the box" style that uses various analog modeling to add color and depth to my mixes. The digital nature of my DAW & plugins gives me maximum flexibility for recall.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Every track should have its own space. This will benefit the clarity and punch of the mix, and the loudness of the master.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I usually work with Rock bands, Singer-Songwriters, Deep House producers, and Techno producers.

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: All of my mixes are done "in the box", using analog modeling to provide the best of both worlds (flexibility of digital, warm lush analog vibes). I mix & master in a professionally sound treated environment and monitor through professional mixing/monitoring equipment (Antelope Audio Zen Studio interface/DAC, Neumann KH120 monitors, Mackie MRS10 sub, Focal Spirit Headphones).

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: The most common type of work I provide to my clients is Mixing & Mastering.
