I reached out to Madeloan in order to use a music track for a recap video. The video was for one of the largest Latin entrepreneur events in the nation known as Hispanicize. The track was not only high-quality music, but it also elevated the recap video to a new level of professionalism. This gained the attention from the actual Hispancize organization via Instagram. He is a great music producer. Very reliable, very timely with his response time, and a great personality to really seal the deal. Highly recommend. Interview with Thomas Groove

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Recently, I worked on a 3 song EP with two friends of mine from Icon Collective. The music we wrote has a strong emotional impact that takes you through a journey. My role was equal to my two partners, we did everything from writing the music, vocal tracking, production, mixing, and mastering.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently, I am finishing up a few of the 80's synth pop tracks I have written recently. I would like to release these soon to give people some nostalgic music to listen to.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The thing I like most about my job is that I never really feel like I'm working. Being able to work on and with music everyday is a great feeling and all I could ask for!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Customers most commonly ask why they didn't meet me sooner! I'm simply glad to help out.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: One strong piece of advice I would have for a customer is that you want to be able to have a good connection with the person you are working with. At the end of the day there will be many people that can offer similar services and experience. Beyond all that, the thing that will separate someone will be how they are as a person and treat their friends and clients, which will make all the difference.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were on a desert island the 5 pieces of gear I would bring are the following: Apollo interface, Neumann u87 microphone, Ibanez bass guitar, Roland Juno-106 synthesizer, and a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5. These items would provide with everything I need to write music.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: As of this year, I have been producing music for 6 years. Additionally, I have been DJing for 4 years playing shows and clubs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Strong, melodic elements is what major thing I believe I bring to songs. I enjoy melodies and chord progressions. Another thing I bring is a trained ear from all the various genres and styles of music I listen to. I feel that my ear really knows what works and sounds good, taking from all the great artist that have inspired me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When panning instruments it is better to have equal weighted panning. For example, if you are going to pan one sound to one side, take another sound in the song and pan it to the opposite side. Make sure the volume of both sounds playing are now matched evenly.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, I would recommend my clients to my colleague DJ Marx.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musicians that inspire me would be Wham!, Calvin Harris, Hall & Oates, Prince, Max Martin, DJ Premier, and Disclosure.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process is to start out with an idea. From this idea I will build a skeleton of a track. From here I decide if the track works. Then I will go in to each section of the song and develop it. Once I'm pleased with the overall track I will go into the mix stage followed by the mastering stage.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I believe in modern production a healthy addition of both analog and digital will take a record to the next level.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Will go back and forth with you on the project until it sounds right and the way you want it to sound.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what I do is I sit on a computer and press buttons and music magically appears.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Generally I would get an overall inquire of what the overall project should ending up sound like and if there are any specifics that need to be met.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style would be described as having a lot of groovy and melodic elements.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Calvin Harris because he is very talented in whatever style he is working with. He can take on many different genres and still come out on top with a great record.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually worked on is electronic dance music (house, dubstep, trap), 80's (synthwave, synth-pop), and pop music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is professionalism.

A: The most common type of work is music production. Creating a varying amount of musical pieces. This includes full productions, short songs (YouTube, Instagram), and commercial music.
