Interview with Jay Spacely

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to give 100% of my commitment to seeing out that both, the client and I, are satisfied with the end result of thier project(s).
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began graphic designing in 2008 when I was only 12 years old. At the time, I was extremely broke, my family and I lived in a horrible house in a poor neighborhood. And I always had the motivation through music that I could change life around one day. I was making music at that time, because I was always surrounded by music in the area that I was raised in. But it wasn't anything great, or good, by any means. I'm 24 years old now, as of February 2020.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working on client needs, while wrapping up my debut studio album project!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the feeling of completing a job for another artist and them being completely happy with the end result! It means alot to me that another artist would trust and choose me to work with together with them on that artists' work!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision for this project, your record, and your career at this point?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Only hire someone that you believe will love and feel for your art the same way you will! Contact me today, and let me be that person to help bring your project to life!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would definitely describe my art as a diverse and unique style. I love to work outside of the box!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My microphone, some non perishable-food, my laptop with my recording softwares, a pen and a pad! Just the essentials.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to be in the studio with Lil Wayne and work with him because his work ethic is AMAZING and that inspires me.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on alot of new age Hip-Hop, so alot of lo-fi/heavy bass Hip-Hop basically. alot of Alternative Rap and Pop, and R&B.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I begin working on a project I feel like I'm in my own world, like, in my own zone. And I have full faith in my work ethic.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work with many artists from several genres for songwriting needs, however, I also work frequently with artists and producers giving their product that final touch.
