For more info, here's a brief bio:

I created Mazadi Vision in 2014 as a Multimedia Production company catered to the Music Industry – As an independent Hip-Hop/R&B recording artist & producer, I've worked as a freelance engineer and juggled several other hats (videography, management, etc.) in this industry not for necessity like most do, but purely out of love for each of these art forms individually. Producing and mixing songs is my main passion. Been fortunate to land placements with several publishing labels like Warner Chappell, BMG, etc. for music licensing which resulted in a couple placement features on TV shows and Films like "Don Jon" with Scarlett Johansson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (under the Non-stop Music library), amongst others – and during my experience working behind-the-scenes as a work-for-hire recording artist/songwriter/producer, I've been able to branch out my artistry doing other genres from Pop and EDM to Reggaeton and even Reggae which was fun; but my specialization is Hip-Hop, R&B and Lofi/Chillhop. Interview with Airic

  1. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  2. A: Vocal Recording, Mix & Mastering, Songwriting, Custom Beat Production.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I will work harder for you than you might do for yourself. I'm not just a button-pusher...I'm in your corner. Let's work!

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: The potential to contribute a positive influence on people's lives and society as a whole through the effect of music. Culture controls the nature of our society, and the strongest influencer of culture is MUSIC...

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Addictive. Smooth. Cozy.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Don't overthink it. Feel it.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, Pop, Lofi/Chillhop.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Producing and arranging the record/song to make it as close as possible to YOUR vision. Directing each vocal take to pump out the best performance (if you want that of course, if not I'll let you drive the wheel). Or making subtle suggestions that make huge differences like lyric replacements or delivery/tone approaches (again, only if YOU ask for that. I'm just your car, you're the driver). Also, brainstorming on merging creativity with the business side of music to monetize your songs.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Feelings. Chills. Moods. Less of the "technical checklist" and more flavor. Honest conversations about the song, your vision, and just overall fun...let's make great impactful music!

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: 1. Listen to the song on repeat 3-5 times to analyze what I notice in the rough version and how I am going to accomplish what the artist/client envisions for the song...while sipping ginger tea or black coffee. 2. Knock out "Mix 1" and send it back to the artist/client for any feedback. 3. Make any necessary changes, and then take a break from the mix. 4. Finalize the mix and send to artist/client for approval. 5. Make any revisions if needed then send complete folder of final files.

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: Neumaan U87 microphone, Avalon VT 737 Preamplifier, Universal Audio Apollo 8, Empirical Labs Distressor, Yamaha NS10s, Yamaha HS80s, Yamaha Motif XF, Dangerous Music Monitor ST, Roland FA-06, Native Instruments Machine Studio, and more.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Derek Ali, Young Guru, Hitmaka, Scott Storch, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Christopher "Tito" Trujillo, OizDatU, Dawsie Keys
