Words can't express my reactions to when I first heard my mix back from Airic. He's honestly a huge part of my future success in music and anything he puts his hands on he make sure push out the best mix/work possible. His alone keeps me always wanting to finish a song just to get to him. This is a 100% honest review so there's no need to back track or double think Airic is the guy with a phenomenal ear for music. You won't be disappointed.

Interview with Airic
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. Listen to the song on repeat 3-5 times to analyze what I notice in the rough version and how I am going to accomplish what the artist/client envisions for the song...while sipping ginger tea or black coffee. 2. Knock out "Mix 1" and send it back to the artist/client for any feedback. 3. Make any necessary changes, then take an hour break from the mix. 4. Finalize the mix then send to artist/client for approval. 5. Make any revisions if needed then send complete folder of final files. *Total turn-around time from first draft to final master is usually 2-3 days once project is started.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook, Cellphone, Audio Interface, Mic, Guitar (assuming i have electricity and internet haha)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Addictive. Ear-candy. Transcendent.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Juan Luis Guerra and Lauryn Hill, for their devotion to God while also creating massive culturally timeless music in my favorite genres (Hip-Hop, R&B and Bachata)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, Pop, Lofi/Chillhop, Dembow.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: As an engineer, I take my time mixing the sonics until the finished audio is literally ear candy! But as a producer, I'm passionate about collaborating on arranging the record (songwriting/composition) to make it as close as possible to YOUR vision while tastefully making slight adjustments in the song structure if needed for a better end-result (I always provide an A/B comparison from the original version to the revised version for the artist to make the final call).
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Feelings. Chills. Moods. An audio experience. Less of the "technical checklist" and more flavor. Honest conversations about the song, your vision, and just overall fun...let's make great impactful music!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Derek Ali, Scott Storch, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, The Alchemist, Juan Luis Guerra
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Vocal Recording, Mix & Mastering, Songwriting, Custom Beat Production
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will work harder for you than you might do for yourself. I'm not just a button-pusher...I'm in your corner. Let's work!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The potential to contribute a positive influence on people's lives and society as a whole through the effect of music. Culture controls the nature of our society, and the strongest influencer of culture is MUSIC...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't overthink it. Feel it.
