Hi I'm Mark, I am a professional in the music industry delivering exceptional quality in music production & recording/mixing/mastering. I have many credits under my belt including billboard charting and RIAA Platinum records. I am very passionate about the projects I work on and enjoy giving feedback.
Instruments produce harmonics that extend well past the limits of our hearing, but play a pivotal role in our perception of the instruments timbre (tone or quality). Preserving these frequencies should be our priority to help deliver the emotional qualities that we strive for. My music is created with high quality samples and real instruments to stay current and original. I specialize my work in R&B, Pop, EDM, Gaming, Orchestral & Hip-Hop however my abilities can take me into any genre. Having graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Electronic Production and Design; I have learned from the best and have recognizable talents in the industry.
Do you have a vocal idea that needs music?
Do you need a professional instrumental that matches your voice/style/genre?
Do you want a high quality vocal comp that sounds full and natural?
Does your track need mastering that is sonically full and competitive?
Let me take your music to the next level so that it stands out from the rest! Whether its mixing/mastering/editing or music production I deliver a finished product that is consistent and competitive.
I've worked with artists such as:
NBA YoungBoy
Rico Nasty
Matoma
Lil Pump
Soulja Boy
Why Don't We
Ally Brooke (Fifth Harmony)
Bebe Rexha - "Cry Wolf"
Jake Miller - "Better Me Better You"
Bazzi

Mark was amazing to work with! He produced my song in the exact style I had in mind and was so easy to work with any adjustments I wanted. He is super talented and would recommend any singer/songwriter to hire him - he'll make your tracks sound so good and professional! Thank you again Mark!

It was a pleasure working with Mark again. We had kind of a chill angsty morning song that he helped bring together. I ultimately got a bit undecided on the direction last minute, but he made it sound really cool and we went with that. Thanks again Mark!

Another very good production job by Mark on a pop song.Highly recommended

Not really the result I was expecting. Im not sure if my stock files are to blame, but I feel like I paid $250 for a limiter and some stock reverb settings. Deffinately undersatisfied, especially after a roughly 2 week wait. I was hoping the final renders would loose their lo-fi feeling but it never happened. Good dude to communicate with and maybe better luck next time.

Mark did another fab and awesome job on a song i gave him to embellish...All I had was a guitar riff and a vocal and he put some great modern instrumentation around it to optimise the track..I have signed a lot of his work to Music Libraries/ Sync Agencies already

Really enjoyed working with Mark. My track was partially produced, but needed a couple more elements, and a good mix and master. We discussed it back and forth and had good communication, and the track started to really shine better and better! Once we got the magic down, we did some small lite tweaks and adjustments, and it was perfect, and ready for release. I must say I especially enjoyed the mix, and the vocal processing. I plan on coming back with another project to work on together soon.

Mark is all around, hands down, one of the best producers and engineers I have worked with. He transforms demos into professional top 40 level sonics. I love working with him as producer and engineer.
This is my third album with Mark. The dude is incredible. Let him work his magic. His recording, audio engineering, and mixing skills are unmatched. He hears things on the track that no one else does, and his musicality/music theory/producing knowledge add so much value to any record. Highly recommended!
I have worked in studios all over the united states. Mark is one of the most talented producers and one of the best audio engineers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Trust me he will give you an amazing product!
A passionate individual who is more than willing to go above and beyond for quality and thats just what this industry needs. Someone who has a vast recollection of music to pull from and add their expertise. Consistent and a great motivator to get the best out of your song. I couldn't recommend this man enough!
Mark is beyond amazing! Each session I explain what kind of sound I’m going for and he creates something that is exactly what I want. It’s nice to know that you can give him one idea, and he’ll run far with it. He’s professional, quick and an overall great producer. He hears and points out things that I would have never noticed! I highly recommend booking a session with him, you won’t regret it! :)

Mark has been great to work with. He is very professional and got the job done in no time. We had a recording session and he offered to edit the vocals and comp them accordingly. I highly recommend anyone to work with Mark!
Interview with Mark Dorflinger
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a lot of projects for Bebe Rexha which helped her get signed to a major label.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: This week I recorded and edited Flo Rida vocals on a new song and working on two instrumental productions for Pop R&B artists.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Michael Khan
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog for recording (going in), and Digital (going out). Best quality for the amount of time you'll end up spending.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Everyone who hears your music will be able to connect and vibe to your message and performance in a sonically full production and sound.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I take every gig as a challenge and love getting projects to the finish line as quick as possible.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long does it usually take to make a beat? As long as it takes (until your happy)
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I think most people don't realize the time and effort that is put into learning the knowledge, the music, the tools, and the ability to hear pitch/time; and then applying that knowing what to fix in recorded music and how to do it properly.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of sound are you going for?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure your provider is easy to work with and can get the job done right!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, interface, microphone, mic cable, solar powered battery
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started off as a musician first and foremost; performing piano, vocals, and trombone in many bands (Jazz, O, Orchestra, Choir, Pop, Rock). When I was 14 I bought my first DAW before interning at ShoreFire Studios in Long Branch, NJ. After that I continued my work as I attended Berklee College of Music. Since then I have always been writing and recording my own music as well has helping everyone else in the music community with their projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Realistic, smooth, dynamics
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Post Malone because he comes from the heart and the production is fire!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always listen to your mixes at low volume. If you listen to a mix too loud for too long your ears get tired and you start to lose your sense of highend, timing, and pitch.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, Acoustic, Live Performances, EDM
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Ability to play and improvise on piano/trombone. Editing pitch and time for vocals and instruments.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A sense of realism mixed with a sonically full production that feels right, and stands out.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to start the project while sending/presenting my progress to the customer for input and direction until satisfied.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Mackie HR824 Professional Studio Monitors with a 10 inch Sub as low as 10Hz. My room is fully treated with sound panels and bass traps. I currently record with a BLUE Blueberry microphone on Pro-Tools HD
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Serban Ghenea, Alex Tumay, Taz Taylor, Murdabeats, Phil Greiss, Chris Lord-Alge,
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually make fully produced songs from scratch
