VT Mastering is your address when it comes to high end audio masters. Our studio and workflow is developed for efficiency without any compromises in quality. The hybrid setup consists of hand selected digital plugins and state-of-the-art, partly modified mastering hardware.
ANALOG STEREO MASTERING
Unveil the essence of your song. Mastering is one of the most important steps in music production in our opinion.
With a combination of analog and digital gear, we make your master as clear, loud, wide and proud as possible without destroying your mixes. Does your mix need some help? Well, nothing will beat a good mix, but a lesser mix certainly needs a good mastering.

DOLBY ATMOS MASTERING
You mixed your Dolby Atmos Production on headphones but you’re not sure if it sounds good on a real speaker setup? Panorama, depth and loudness can be challenging when producing Dolby Atmos on headphones.
Get in touch with us and let us finalise your mix in our state-of-the-art 7.1.4 studio. By checking the Dolby Atmos mix in a real speaker environment and comparing it to the standard stereo master, we will ensure that everything sounds great out there!

Endorse VT MasteringWe (Chordotomy) recorded our second album together with VT. We are absolutely happy with the result. It is an awesome combination of clear production and yet some "dirt" in it, which is something that makes exreme metal very organic.
Not only the final outcome, but also the studio time was awesome. Tim is nice, patient and his background as a musician has helped at some points to make the songs 101 percent perfect. We are very thankful for his efforts and hospitality. We recorded and mixed our album "Haunted Cemetery - Sacrifice the Human Race" at VT audio-production. Besides the great sound, the producer put a lot of work into quite some details, enhancing the songs more than we could have imagined. The overall mix is just perfect and completely exceeds our expectations. Great job!
Interview with VT Mastering
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen, Listen and Listen :) The better your recording and mix, the better will be the result of our master. With the tools we have nowadays it is possible to fix a lot of technical issues while mastering. But in our opinion this is not what mastering is about. The focus should stay on sound quality, coloration, loudness and the translation of the song of course - not on fixing problems of the mix.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm a musician since I can remember. Started as a 9 year old kid in an orchestra, I found myself as a drummer of a metal band, when I was 16. We recorded our debut-album in a very large studio at the time. The experience was awesome but the result of the production was just terrible... so I thought..."oh man, I think I can do it better". That was the point when I realised that this is exactly what I want to do. So I started doing it and now we're here :)
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Dolby Atmos is a big part of the new production world. We´ll definetly be a part of it soon :)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We definetely won´t stop until your project sounds ready for the release :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We´re not bound to any genre but in general our main clients do pop, rock, metal and electronic music.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are a lot of inspiring people out there. Just to name a few: Andrew Scheps: He´s really inspiring in the way of his thinking because he doesn´t care about what you have to do to reach your goal... "It´s only important what comes out of the speaker" Tchad Blake: Outstanding work and his personal usage of distortion as a creative tool is simply awesome.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Stereo Mastering for digital distribution and CD production.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, to be honest. We like the accessability and flexibility of the digital world, but when we talk about analogue sound, harmonic distortion and saturation, etc., we haven´t found a comparable digital piece yet.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It is the mix between the technical and creative side of the job. Mastering has typically to do with a lot of technical things but there are also ways to enhance a song from the creative side within this process.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The most important point for me is always gain-staging. If you don´t have the experience, fancy gear or studio to record a song to an almost finished result, it is more important to ensure that nothing is distorted but as clean as possible. All of the rest can be added within the mixing- or mastering-process, if necessary. If the signals are clipping because of a wrong gain management, it is not possible to reach a world-class result. It is more important to reach a high quality recording first, before pushing something over the limits.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The studio concept is basically a hybrid setup (digital workstation and additional analogue gear for mastering). We´re only using the most modern software and hardware to ensure the best possible quality.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Our focus within the mastering-process is, to push a song to the loudest, widest and clearest possible result. Depending on the genre and things you like or may not like of course :)
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Mastering can not fix a bad and unbalanced mix. We have thousands of tools to fix things but it is always better to keep an eye on your mix first and push it to a great sounding result.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: To start the project simply send your mix to the studio. After checking your files for any technical faults we will start the mastering process and make your song as loud, wide and proud as possible :) You receive the master of your song as MP3 for approval. The final WAV, FLAC or AAC files will be send after payment.
