I produce and mix records from my studio, VRNH Music & Sound, in Seoul. Alternative rock is my specialty, but I work across genres. I start with your song, your references, and what you want the record to feel like. I’ll tell you what I hear and why, then we’ll decide what to preserve and where to push it.

Record production
Song development, arrangement, performance direction, recording, and editing. Quoted by scope.

Mixing
Stereo and Dolby Atmos: $600 per song, per format. Two rounds of mix revisions included. Editing, tuning, stems, instrumentals, and alternate versions quoted separately. Very long pieces may need a different quote.

Recording
Seoul studio: $300 per day. Hours and scope agreed before booking.

Music and sound for picture
Score, production sound, sound design, and sound post-production, quoted by scope. Short commercial music and mix starts at $600.

How we’ll work
Send your rough mix or cut, references, deadline, budget, and deliverables through SoundBetter. We’ll put the role, scope, fee, schedule, and revisions in writing before starting. I’ll send a first pass, then work through one consolidated set of notes per round. Changes to the brief are agreed separately. Final files are delivered through the SoundBetter workroom when the job is marked complete.

I don’t master my own mixes. I can coordinate mastering with trusted partners.

Existing agreed rates and discounts remain valid.

Credits include soundtrack work and CASETiFY campaigns. Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Stranger Things credits are for CASETiFY projects, not the original films or series.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I’ll explain what I hear and why, put the agreed scope and deliverables in writing, and keep you informed as the project develops.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Alternative rock is my center. I care about how the writing, performance, and production work together, and I adapt the approach to the artist and the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start with the rough mix or cut, references, and a conversation about the project. We agree on the scope and deliverables before work begins. I send a first pass, then work through a consolidated set of notes. If the brief changes, we agree on the added work first.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I listen for how the parts work together. I may help write or arrange, play, direct a performance, or focus on the mix. The role depends on what the record needs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My second album as VORANAH is in progress. Alongside it, I produce and mix records and make music and sound for picture.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from VRNH Music & Sound, my recording studio in Seoul. It has spaces for recording and a control room for production and stereo and immersive mixing. We plan sessions around the people, instruments, and deliverables involved.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Recording at Synchron Stage Vienna stayed with me. I brought my guitar, kalimba, and pedalboard, played with the orchestra, then spent time in the control room asking about the setup. The team was generous with their time. I came back to Seoul with ideas for my own studio, VRNH Music & Sound. I’m also inspired by the care and skill that other musicians bring to their work.
