My name is Chris James from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I'm a freelance audio engineer, producer and founder of Dust & Groove Studios. I've worked with artists all over the world in many different genres.

Ok, well what does that mean?

Every song is different, so every mix is different. When I mix your tracks I will approach them fresh, focusing on each musical element to bring out the best.

Basic mix:

- Proper gain staging for maximum headroom and clarity
- Strategic EQ to help every track sit nicely in the mix
- Tasteful compression to create energy and balance

I also offer additional editing options. Do the vocals need some tuning? No problem. Drums need some editing or tightening? I'm on it. If your tracks need some fine tuning, it can make or break a mix.

– pitch correction
– drum editing
– comping of multiple takes

Revisions:

If you are worried about handing over your life’s work without knowing how it’s going to turn out, don’t worry. I will keep working on your mix until you’re not only satisfied, but completely thrilled with my mix. Revisions will be made based on your feedback. This way we can ensure your input into the mix process. So rest assured that you’ll be able to make any changes you would like to your song. I'm not happy until you’re happy.
