Mixing & Production

Conor OToole on SoundBetter

The past two years I have been focused exclusively on mixing, which has rewarded me with the opportunity to mix show music for the Billboard Music Awards, and dozens of satisfied clients. Producing is my real passion, I will take your song from black and white to HD. Check my Soundcloud for examples, then hit the Contact button and let's begin.

I started playing guitar when I was 12; I wanted to be just like Dave Matthews back then. My mom drove me to the music store to get my first guitar (an Ovation) and I remember riding home in the back of the van staring in wonder at the black plastic case between the seats. It represented possibility, it was significance. Music was everything to me back in small town Indiana, my secret dream I wouldn't let go of.
Fast forward to college, my best friend and I lived together and would play guitar duets in the dorm hallway. As those years progressed I took the instrument more and more seriously, skipping class to practice 5-8 hours a day in my bedroom; keeping a log of what I did and for how long. I was also in a couple bands during those years and had my first taste of recording in Bloomington, IN.
Something started to eat at me during this time. I wasn't able to share what I was doing. It was me in a room, by myself, playing for one. I had one of those white Macbooks and picked up Pro Tools LE somewhere. That same year, Skrillex released Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites and forever changed music for me. It was like hearing music for the first time; so foreign. I had never heard anything like it, but I knew exactly what I wanted to do from that point on. I was a producer, instantly and permanently.

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
