Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working for 5 years in Lisbon. My path..move to USA.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Songwriter Album.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Personally, i dont know anyone.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Nothing like having all the ease and speed of digital, along with the analog warm.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If they pay me 100€, I have to make them win 300€
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Every day its different. Different projects, artists, songs...
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "Sounds good for you?" Sounds Good, but i know you can do this awesome!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Musical questions. What kind of work they want from me.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be serious.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neumann U47, Shure SM57, Urei 1176, Neve 1073, NS10
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Panda Bear - Meets the grim reaper Album. Was my first international album (Domino Records). I was engineered and assisted.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My work always depends on the song and artist . Every time is different. For me, everything has to sound like what the song calls for. Always looking for "that sound ".
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Michael Jackson. My all time favorite artist.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Bass guitar trick! Copy, distort, crank mids, mix in subtly. Send to stereo aux, hi pass @ 300Hz, wide chorus, mix in subtly

A: Rock, Jazz, Pop, Fado, a little bit of everything.

A: Record and Mixing Process

A: I leave the song decide what i need to do.

A: Record, mix and ready to master.

A: Neve 8028 Based Studio, with a lot of vintage gear (microphones, compressors, preamps, tape-machines...)
