What do you bring to a song?
If I were to use one word it would be energy. I love to bring an energy to every mix I work on. I try to make sure the energy is appropriate first and foremost, but that is one of my characteristics.
What's your typical work process?
I typically start with a volume balance between tracks, then I will start with mixing the drums. I move to guitars, then bass, then vocals. I mix into a mastering setting for the most part in which I will tweak once the mix feels solid. I ask my clients to provide examples of productions they like in which I will try and get the song to conform best while retaining it's natural strengths, and uniqueness.
