I am an audio engineer, producer, and recording artist. I love all sorts of music ranging from Bon Iver, Travis Scott, Imogen Heap, Slayer, Selena Quintanilla, Crystal Castles, Avenged Sevenfold, Justin Timberlake, Nirvana, and more. My life revolves around making and enjoying quality art.
Audio engineering and production are two aspects that I strongly believe have the power to make or break a song. My goal is to help my clients make the best art possible at an affordable price.

Interview with Sean Matsukawa
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to know when to use or neglect the rules to do whatever it takes to make sure that my client is 100% satisfied with his/her art.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have access to several studios that contain a wide variation of plugins (Waves, Universal Audio, Sonnox, etc.) and analog hardware (SSL channel strips, Urei 1176s, etc.)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to always give you 110% of my effort into your projects to make it sound the best they can possibly be. If you are not completely satisfied with your project, I will work until it is absolutely perfect.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am proud of my album Limbs as I put in 2 & a half years of time writing, recording, mixing, mastering, and obsessing over that project all by myself. I poured every ounce of passion I had into that project and because of it, it came out exactly how I wanted it to.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure you start off recording with a clean source. Starting off with a good foundation saves a lot of time and money. The better the foundation is in a song, the better the song will be.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work with hip-hop/rap, R&B, electronic, singer/songwriter, rock, and heavy metal music.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My main musical influences are Avenged Sevenfold, Imogen Heap, Selena Quintanilla, Tyler The Creator, Koop, and Mr. Bungle.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I offer recording, mixing / mastering, and musical production services.
