Jamie Amos on SoundBetter

Transform your vocals into polished, release-ready performances with transparent tuning, precise timing, and meticulous editing. With 10+ years of experience, millions of streams, and label-supported releases, I deliver natural, emotional vocals that stay true to your performance - fast turnaround and industry-standard quality.

Your vocal should sound like the best version of your performance - not robotic, over-tuned, or unnatural.

I specialise in professional vocal editing, tuning, and timing that enhances your performance while preserving the emotion and character that make it unique. Whether you need subtle pitch correction, tight timing, vocal comping, or complete cleanup, I deliver polished, release-ready vocals that sound natural and sit perfectly in your mix.

With over 10 years of experience as a producer and vocal editor, I've worked with artists across indie, pop, rock, alternative, hip-hop, and singer-songwriter genres. I understand that every artist has a different style, so I tailor my approach to each project rather than applying a one-size-fits-all process.

Services include:
• Natural pitch correction (Melodyne & Auto-Tune)
• Vocal timing and alignment
• Comping from multiple takes
• Breath, click, pop, and background noise removal
• Editing doubles and harmonies
• Clean, organised, mix-ready stems

I pride myself on clear communication, fast turnaround times, and attention to detail. My goal is never to make your vocal sound "perfect" it's to make it sound believable, emotional, and professionally finished.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Jamie exceeded my expectations. My vocals were quite inconsistent, but after his editing they sound polished, tight, and completely in time. The tuning is subtle and musical, you'd never know any editing had been done. :)

Interview with Jamie Amos

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I started recording my own band in my bedroom before working as a promoter in London. That eventually led to engineering roles at State of the Ark Studios, Domino Publishing and assisting at studios including Metropolis, Strongroom and Tileyard. Alongside producing, I've toured Europe as a session musician with artists including Tom Grennan, Nilüfer Yanya and Westerman. I've been working professionally in music for over a decade.

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: Honest, detailed and artist-focused. I aim for productions that feel timeless rather than over-produced, always putting emotion and performance first.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Mostly indie, alternative, acoustic, singer-songwriter and pop, although I've worked across many different genres. Good songs are good songs, regardless of style.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Helping artists discover the strongest version of their music. Whether that's refining arrangements, coaching vocal performances, tightening production or simply knowing what doesn't need changing, I focus on making records feel authentic and memorable.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: Perspective. I don't just think like a producer—I think like a songwriter, musician, engineer and listener. My goal is always to enhance the emotion of a song, making sure every production decision serves the story.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: Everything starts with the song. I'll discuss your vision, references and goals before building a production that supports the emotion of the track. Throughout the process I keep communication open, provide regular updates and encourage collaboration until we're both excited by the final result.
