Producer & Mixing Engineer

Yan-Law on SoundBetter

Producing and Mixing music for over

"Yan- Law" Lawrence was born on the 23rd of August, 1990 in Manhattan, New York. Born to Jamaican parents, he soon left the United States to embark on his journey of musical revelation. Enthralled in the Jamaican culture, which called for some sort of musical affinity, Yan-Law began to find his steps in music. Beginning as a hobby, he would seldom moonlight as a DJ under the moniker DJ Lawless. Although not a serious career decision, his DJ career would be the epiphany that guided him to know music would be an integral part of his life.

Inclined toward the production aspect of music, he found his influence from names such as Timberland, Pharrell, Bryan Michael Cox, Polow the Don, and Rodney"Darkchild" Jerkins. The prospect of truly finding his voice occurred when he returned to the United States for college. He recreated his image, and added to his credentials in order to become Yan-Law, and a part of Napoc Entertainment. Since this turn in his career, he has been very active and busy doing the following: working with his fellow label mates by producing beats for Stylez Kriswell and Iaconiq, and engineering songs for Stylez Kriswell and Iaconiq. He’s also worked with DJ AWill, creating a dancehall mix and currently engineers some of DJ AWill's mixes that have since been released on SoundCloud.
