My name is Kevin and I'm obsessed with mixing. It's often the most overlooked aspect of recording, but I just can't get enough of it. Taking sessions and turning them into polished masterpieces is what I dream about at night (no really). I've worked on projects that have landed artists on major labels. I'd love to help you do the same.
I've spent my entire adult life working with audio. It has grown beyond my passion and become my career. I can offer to your mixes what a lot of people cannot, a professional creative ear.
I have great experience working a song from it's humble beginnings all the way to a complete masterpiece. I'm a firm believer that audio production and mixing is a creative process itself. Without a complete vision of a mixed song, it will remain life-less and flat forever stuck in a "locally" produced mix.

Interview with Forest Floor Creative
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: SM7. Digi002. ISA-One pre. Sony MDR7506s.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been mixing and producing auudio for 11 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Aggressive then the situation calls for it, and delicate when it doesn't. I truly like to modify my treatment for whatever the song calls for. No standard flowchart processing here.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Dr. Luke. He has produced more number on singles than just about anyone...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Analog summing. When you sum your mixes in an analog system, you unlock a rich range of harmonic distortion that is often lost in the digital only world.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Music that needs a pop shine of any genre.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: A sharp ear is my strongest skill. I can unlock the sound of an instrument, and place it gently into a mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A fiercely creative mindset. I try hard to bring every project into my world, and truly give it a polish. I won't shy away from production ideas, or recording tips. I want your project to be the best.
