Hi! I'm a lyricist and vocalist in the Washington DC area. I write top line melodies, too. I can read and write music and play music by ear. My favorite genres to sing are EDM/techno and R&B. I am a huge EDM fan and supporter of the dance music scene.

I love expressing myself through music. I've been involved with music since age 7 when I learned to play the piano. I can read and write music as well as pick up melodies by ear. I have performed in several talent shows. I can speak conversational Japanese and Spanish (I minored in these languages), so I can also write lyrics in those languages.

Interview with Julie

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a mezzo soprano so I love to belt but I'm very comfortable in the alto and lower soprano range. My vocal style is similar to Krewella, Adele, and Rihanna.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by Armin Van Buuren, BT, Kaskade, Lea Salonga, Selena, TLC, Katy Perry, Xscape, Nadia Ali, Aaliyah, Olivia Lufkin, and Hikaru Utada. I listen to a lot of foreign artists as well as English.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Growing up in my corner of the US, I'm usually approached for R&B vocals, but my heart is EDM/techno, so I would like to do more projects in that genre.
