What type of music do you usually work on?
I tend to work on Hip Hop/Rap a lot.
What's your strongest skill?
My strongest skill is mixing, bringing a song from a respectable rough to an amazing final mix.
What do you bring to a song?
To every mix i bring creativity and technical know-how. I would like to think I know when to step into a mix and add to it to push it forward and also when to step back and let the mix stand on it's own.
What's your typical work process?
Once I get the session files and hopefully a rough mix, I listen to the rough mix to get an idea of the direction and sound that the client is looking for, then its clean up time. I take the time to tighten and tune all the tracks in the mix then move on to doing the actual mix. Afterwords its interacting with the client and working on the final mix till we are both happy.
Tell us about your studio setup.
Currently I work completely in the box with a host of plug-ins that allow me to craft mixes that my clients and I love.
What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
I'm inspired by MixedbyAli, a great mix engineer whose sound always makes me want to be a better engineer.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
The most common type of work I do is mixing whether its for an album or a short film.
