Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I generally receive the request, listen to the audio and figure out artist's need for the song by asking for references. Once the tracking happened I send an mp3 preview and let the client listen to what I have done. At that point I may be asked to modify something or moving forward with delivery. Experience taught me this: if clients come with clear ideas, reviews actions are very close to 0.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Follow your istinct: try to see if my samples and what clients say about me, match the mood of your personality and the spirit of your music.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a guitarist in activity since 2010 I used to study and teach in one of the main school in Italy (CPM Music Institute) I care about music production, teaching and composing. By working with Italian fingerstyle virtuoso Pietro Nobile I had the chance to really live into the acoustic world by recording guitarists and making a lot of research especially on how to build the right sound.I have published a book "il chitarrista in studio arrangiare e registrare" for Italian editor fingerpicking.net and an acoustic EP "essential" (http://bit.ly/2e2cRhF) and in 2018 my first solo album for acoustic guitar called "Play" (https://bit.ly/3afT8aH). I've been playing live with several bands: clubs, big stage, gala dinner. I used to work as product specialist for Italian distribution of: Guild Guitars, Elixir Strings.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think as a player of songs, who always aims to serve it. What I bring is that guitar work which can help the song to be just right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: STUDIO 1 I have a treated and tuned room where I do work 99% of the time. PRO TOOLS 12 is my main DAW, I know Logic Pro X and or Cubase as well. I own an UAD APOLLO rack with its super powerful plugins that I digged so much! I also use Plugin Alliance,Waves,Metric Halo,Sound Toys, Fab Filters,Slate, Speakers: Dynaudio BM5A Mainly microphones: Telefunken ELA M260; Schoeps CMC6, AdvancedAudio C12, Neumann M149 STUDIO 2 I go tracking into this room when I need top analog machine 3xAPI (512c), 2xAVALON (VT737SP), 1xTHERMIONIC (phoenix) TC ELECTRONIC M5000; 1xTUBETECH (CL1-B) Speakers: DYNAUDIO BM15A
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It makes me play music, which makes me happy
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Sometimes clients get surprised when they ask me to re-play fake guitars parts created on piano, and finding that they can't always be executed the same way on the real guitar.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Before hitting the "record" button make sure your gain stage is setted-up properly (-18 or -16 dbFS). This is often a game changer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: RnB,Pop,Rock,Blues, funk and nu soul.

A: Tim Pierce is on top of my list, but I also like the work of people like Jacquire King, Rodney Jerkins, Bob Clearmountain

A: I am asked to track electric or acoustic guitars for songs or creating loops and acoustic arrangements

Q:I used to track acoustic guitars but I am not happy of the results, can you take a listen and see If you can work it out? A: Definitely! Let's take it to the next level! Q: I'm a singer and I need an acoustic version of a song I like, can you help me with it? A: Cool, happy to do it, I am an acoustic arranger!

A: Very few, my priority is to get them what they need. Sometimes no special questions are required, you just go!

Artists and producers spend so much time envisioning a sound and as session player I take this "heritage" on my self when I am hired to do a job.
