About Robert Venable

I'm a 5x EMMY Award-winning, 4x GRAMMY Award-losing producer, mixer, and engineer with credits including: Twenty One Pilots, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Weezer, Babyface, Seal, Black Pumas, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Jelly Roll, and Megadeth. I've produced, mixed, engineered, and written Billboard #1's, gold and platinum albums, songs for film and tv, and even a few apps. I am currently the music mixer for The Kelly Clarkson Show, and mix music for broadcast, as well as produce/mix bands and artists from all over the world. I love helping artists elevate their songs, whether they’re rough demos or nearly finished productions. When you order feedback from me, I’ll give you clear, actionable notes focused on what will make your track stronger both creatively and technically. As a mixer and producer with years of experience across major-label projects, I’ll listen with a detailed ear for tone, balance, arrangement, performance, and overall impact. I’ll point out what’s already working and offer specific suggestions on how to improve elements such as the mix, structure, instrumentation, vocal approach, melodies, lyrics, and overall production direction. I’ll comment on elements like vocal treatment, drum impact and clarity, low-end structure, transient integrity, harmonic density, automation moves, arrangement efficiency, and how each production choice supports the emotional intent of the song. If something can be improved... whether it’s compression strategy, EQ decisions, FX design, performance tightness, recording quality, or mix architecture, I’ll offer specific actionable steps you can take. If there’s anything specific you’d like feedback on, just include it in your notes and I’ll make sure to address it. I’ll listen through your song multiple times before sending my thoughts so you get careful, honest, and helpful insights you can immediately apply.
