Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I was in a short british film and was given the chance to also work on the songs and perform these in the film currently in post production. I have also been asked if one of my songs can be in a brit comedy short film also in post production.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A dub step track with the signed artist dirty freud.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: no
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: depends.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To give it 100 and ten percent!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love it when the clients are happy with my services and that i have always wanted to sing since the age of 4!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long will it take? answer- I need 3 days to work on the track and 2 days recording and mastering and sending off the files to you.( unless its a short jingle. Do i want credit for this- answer - no as long as i am paid fairly. Payments- 100 uk pounds deposit required and then the rest of the payment within 30 days that i send the invoice off to you.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I have a strong lancashire accent when i talk. However people are shocked when i sing as my voice is gentle and does not show my accent at all.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of feel do you want me to sing the song like? Phrasing if something is out of the ordinary i will ask how you want it phrased.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to my material before choosing me as i don't have a full on soul voice it is very gentle and high pitched at times. Please listen to my advice if the words you've provided me don't fit with the backing track. I have been singing for sometime and i know if words will fit in a piece of music or not.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My keyboard, my microphone, my Software for making music, My bongo's and does my roadie count for company ha ha!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been in bands for ten years. My job is singing for whoever requires me.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A quirky 1940's style but with kate bush elements.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Pulp as i feel he brings a lot of charisma to his music and his hooks are definitely hooks you would remember.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Ensure the vocals can be heard and that the instruments compliment the vocals.

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocals
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I am very good at improvising should the client want that. I have a gentle tone in my voice and i am very aware of communicating well to get exactly what it is you wanted from me.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I need a few days to learn what it is you require then i can easily get in the studio to carry out the work for you and have it sent off the very next day.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: If i was to do a job i would use the studio i used to create my own album. He uses a desk that he bought from the famous band soul 2 soul.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Kate Bush as shes not afraid to be different and use her voice in many ways. I am very similar in that i will experiment by using my vocal techniques differently to give the song a distinctive sound.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have mainly learnt a song as asked by the client and had my vocals recorded in a professional studio.
