Interview with Dylan Waterhouse

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: Pop, Indie, and some Rock.

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: The world of audio projects is becoming ever more expedited with the development of miracle/all-in-one plugins. That in mind, I work diligently and quickly to provide solid deliverables for client review.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: I'm most commonly involved in every stage of a recording project, from tracking to release.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Communication. It's what's most important to me.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: Every song needs something different. I bring all of myself, my passion and excitement but only leave the song with what's necessary.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: Currently, I work out of a small mix room at home and will rent larger space when necessary for recording.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I'm constantly listening to and supporting my peers locally and internationally. Rich Costey, James Zaner, TW Walsh, and John Congleton, to name a few.
