Have worked at KRBE radio, Telemundo TV, RCN radio, Caracol / Grupo Prisa radio, Clear Channel Broadcasting and Sony Music as A&R / Label Manager, where I helped develop multi platinum superstar artist Shakira, and produced albums for record labels such as Sony Music, Universal Music, Univisión, Codiscos, Discos Fuentes, and independent artists.

I am a music conference circuit regular, who can frequently be seen either speaking or attending MIDEM, SXSW, Digital Entertainment World, WOMEX, Digital Music Forum, San Francisco Music Tech, Music Biz, CES, Indie Week, Billboard and more. Have also attended many recording studio production clinics including Artist Management with the late Bill Aucoin (KISS), Songwriting with Desmond Child (Bon Jovi, Aerosmith), Mastering Techniques with Bob Ludwig, Production Techniques with Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin), and also with Alan Parsons (Pink Floyd).

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: There have been a few. I always feel proud when they go to another level.

A: Metal album featuring a couple of well known musicians.

A: Analog for experience, Digital for covenience.

A: They will be happy in the end.

A: UREI 1176, Rickenbacker bass, Ampeg amp, Laptop, I/O
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 20 plus years.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Iron Maiden. Great work ethic.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If it sounds good, it's good. You don't always have to use plugins, for the sake of using them.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hard rock, metal, reggae and latin.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Good ear for hits.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Try to give it the sound that will bring out the best objective details of the pre production.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen, listen again. Try to feel the emotion of the song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Top of the line compressors and preamps. ProTools and all the plugins imaginable.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I like the old school approach, where you capture a performance and good sound from the beginning. Don't like the "fix it in the mix" way f ding things.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing. Clients send me home made recordings, and I mix them to bring them up to pro standards.
