  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: The understanding that to have a quality sound you need to hire an Audio Engineer for the mix and mastering process.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: Laptop with all my plugins on it, ilok, headphones, interface, and midi keyboard.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I was a Computer Science Major and College Football Player, decided I loved music production and engineering more. I have been producing 7 years and paid for engineering for 3 years

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: I am versatile.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: Madeon, he is my favorite EDM Artist

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Label your stems please!!!

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Mostly electronic, but I have also worked with Alternative Rock, Classical and Choral.

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: My ears when critically listening during mixing or mastering process

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: Music Theory, Critical Listening Skills, A natural ear for different styles of music

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: Production I start with the melodic instruments, when mixing I start with the Drums.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: Slate VMS, Mac Pro, Pro Tools 12, M-Audio M-Track, Slate Raven MTi 2, Behringer Truth B1030 Monitors and K10 Sub, MPC Renaissance, Fender Jazz and Traben Array Limited Basses. Waves Gold, Slate Digital plugins, Komplete 11 Ultimate.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: Mousequake, J Rhodes, JD Aguilar

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: Tracking, Producing, Mixing, Mastering, Vocal & Song arrangements.

  27. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  28. A: I will be the recording/mix engineer for a project by a Grammy nominated producer in late July. We will be recording songs for the Dallas Baptist University College of Fine Arts program.

  29. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  30. A: I am currently working on an EDM track for an international artist. I am co-producing the track, tracking vocals, mixing & mastering.

  31. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  32. A: Malex and Tycer.

  33. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  34. A: Digital because it is cost effective and can be adapted to a mobile setup easier. I have worked with Analog gear however so just because I am Digital does not mean I do not know how to use Analog.

  35. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  36. A: Quality final product.

  37. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  38. A: The ability to create a painting with sound whether it be as a Producer or as an Engineer.

  39. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  40. A: They often just ask me how much I charge, and I tell them.

  41. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  42. A: Too many people mistake Beat Makers for Producers, and because you produce you are automatically an Engineer.

  43. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  44. A: What is their goal for the end product.
