I've played music since the age of seven, my professional music career began when I started playing upright bass for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra at age 16. Following high school, I studied bass performance at Music Tech in Minneapolis.
I have been the bassist for indie power-pop band The Melismatics for over 20 years. The Melismatics have released seven albums, toured across the United States, as well as internationally, and played many music festivals including Lollapalooza, Summerfest, SXSW, and NXNE. Additionally, I have toured with several other music projects in the United States, Japan, and the UAE. I also teach private lessons on guitar, upright bass, electric bass, ukulele, theory, songwriting, and production. My specialty is rock, but I am very comfortable in most styles.
