Guitarist and Composer

Experienced Rhythm, Lead and Finger-Style guitarist in multiple genres from Rock and Heavy Metal to Folk, Jazz, Blues and World Music. Hello! I'm David, a professional musician from Scotland, currently based in The Netherlands. Here is some information about my experience/career:

I began my career with progressive metal band Aorta as a main songwriter and live guitarist as well as a main songwriter, lead guitarist and lead singer for Jazz/Funk/Rock band Coma-Toast. I also worked with world-famous drummer Anthony 'Abaddon' Bray as a composer/guitarist in my earlier years.

After spending 10 years in the Rock and Metal music industry, I took a different direction and I spend the next 15 years working in Jazz and World Music. I recorded 3 instrumental solo finger-style jazz guitar albums that were mainly original music, including my 2020 release 'Looking for a place called home' that was included in the UK's Guitarist Magazine's top newcomer albums of 2020. I also recorded a duet album in dedication to Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass with Jazz singer Louise Phelan and a live duet album with Jazz fusion guitarist and bassist Si Hayden.

More recently, I worked as a songwriter and session guitarist for Folk/Rock band Harmony glen and created my own Rock group, Phantom Busker, with a handful of single releases so far, have a listen to 'Why Go By' in the profile.

As you can see, I have mostly recorded and composed and for my own projects, however that is something I would like to change. My home studio is open for you. Whatever your needs are for your song, get in touch, and we can make some great music together!
