G'day - Al here. Complete keyboard nerd/hammond player with a love of that swirlishous sounds that only the real deal can give.

G'day. Im keys player with more than 30 years experience (although im a recycled teenager at heart). Ive done big shows and small shows, from 1 person int eh audience, through the 60,000 open air live concerts. I can lay down a track or tracks for you covering synth, pianos, Rhodes and Hammond organs with a creative flair.

  2. A: both - LOL

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I will do my best. I will give it 100%.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: that's its easy

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  8. A: The Nord, the Leslie and a looper pedal. a fridge and beer... Why is the rum gone? Elizabeth

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: Ive been a working musician for 35 years

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: less is often more. Its too easy to over think and over produce. I like to record like its 1970, but with a 2023 twist

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Rock Blues and reggae

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: Hammond, Seth's and piano

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: I can bring ideas, sounds, structure and chords. as much or as little as you want

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: I have the Nords (electro and stage 3) as my main setup, for piano work I im running them, or the various VST's (Neo soul lets of fantastic) through the Roland FA-08 (love that action) - for the weird stuff there's the role seaboard rise. I record using Logic Audio. If you want the hammond sound, Mixing up the Leslie is no problem.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Pink Floyd, Lachy Doley, Jon Lord... I listen and get influenced by everything

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: Generally I get sent a bare bones track, then add what's needed. From a simple piano track, right through to drums, bass, synths and Hammonds ...
