Hey there!

I'm Andy Clockwise, an international Australian Producer/Artist now based in LA, ready to bring your musical vision to life from start to finish. I love making records and everything that goes with it. I'm here to listen, understand your ideas, and turn them into reality.

With a catalog published by Universal Music Publishing, my music has been featured on major networks like CBS, ABC, and Fox, enjoying high rotation on international radio stations worldwide. I've collaborated with a diverse range of artists over the years, contributing to projects spanning various genres. I've also toured with many artists, including Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Warpaint, INXS, and more.

Do you have a demo or a creative spark? I'm here to shepherd your project from inception to an incredible masterpiece. Working from my studios in LA/Sydney (analog and digital), I take a hands-on approach as a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, bass, guitar, violin, keyboards, and more. I can also arrange, mix, and master. Additionally, I'm well-versed in electronic music production if you're seeking authentic classic-sounding synths, drum machines, guitars, and effects.

No matter the genre, this workflow allows us to bring a masterful touch to your music.

Let's transform your ideas into a final product that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

Stay well,

Andy

Working with Andy is a dream. He is so knowledgeable in so so many genres and can play almost every instrument!! He helped me find my sound but didn’t try to steam roll my ideas like some producers I’ve worked with. Working with him has elevated my music in every way!!

Andy is absolutely top notch. Genius producer and mixer. Live drums sounded ace on day 1 - which I have never experienced before - and the whole process was a ton of fun; which I also have never experienced before. Unexpectedly found whole new life in an old old track because the energy Andy sparked. Absolutely fantastic with mixing synths. Highly highly highly recommend. Youve done it again, clockwise

Andy is a consummate musician in every regard. A brilliant song-writer and a hell of a multi-instrumentalist and arranger, he brings this totality of talent to the production side of things in a wonderfully human and natural way. Andy has helped work on my own music and elevated it with ideas and expertise in a way that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. I've worked with a lot of amazing producers and am one myself, but Andy proved the perfect counterpart to help take my record to the next level. I've seen him apply his craft to many different genres too - you'd be wise to work with him.

Interview with Andy Clockwise

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Both. Because they both rule!

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I won't be happy until you are happy!

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: EVERYTHING!!!!

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: Ha Ha, because of my recording artist career, people don't know that i am a complete studio nerd and this I just sing and play guitar. That and also I am limited to one genre.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I was always into this since my first 4 track i found in the garage as a kid.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: It varies but I tend to work on indie rock, pop, 80s inspired music, hip hop, funk and and any alternative genres (country, rock, electronic and beyond)

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Being able to hear what the artist is wishing for and being able to translate that into a professional atmosphere. Also I don't wanna be a big head but because of my upbringing I know a lot a lot a lot of music from many year-end many genres.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Taste and a Classic sound I hope.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: I have a hybrid production studio in The Hollywood Hills , utilizing nice classic tube and analog gear but with a digital workflow. I am stoked on having many many guitars, synths & a beautiful ludwig drum kit. My Sydney studio is basically a clone copy of our LA one, I also have an array of beautiful sounding microphones, some sent to me from the companies and some we have picked up along the way. I also have access through friends in the game to go to some of their very high end studios used by film studios and major record companies in Los Angeles.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: I commonly work with an artist from start to finish of their creative ideas. Develop that said idea, finish writing it , play and engineer all the instruments or production and then mix and master it. I used to do this in person mostly but I can also do remote sessions now with the client whenever they like.
