Gene Phoa

Indie/Alt Pop Rock Producer

Gene Phoa on SoundBetter

Producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I'm passionate about creating modern yet meaningful music that connects artists with fans and builds dedicated followings. I specialise in melodic, edgy and impactful guitar-driven productions. My influences include the Arctic Monkeys, Middle Kids and The Kooks.

My name is Gene and I'm an indie/alt pop rock producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Adelaide, South Australia.

A classical pianist and self-taught guitarist who initially pursued a career in marketing, I shifted back to music in 2016 and have been plying my craft in the industry ever since.

I've played countless gigs, won a songwriting award and have been mentored by the likes of Chris Chidiac (Mushroom/Universal), Jon Wiza (La Voz Colombia) and Gabs Agostino (Grammy Award Winner).

Whether it's songwriting, producing, recording (vocals, guitar, keys, bass, drum programming), mixing or releasing, I can help at each step of the music making journey.

I can also help with meditations, voiceovers and podcasts.

Ultimately, my goal is to help your project realise its artistic potential and to help you realise your artistic vision.

I work out of my home studio in Adelaide and am available for both online and in-person sessions.
