Pedro Lucas Ferraz on SoundBetter

I'm a self taught music producer since 2015 and been working with music production as a serious job since 2018 when I started doing ghost production for other artists, I also got an alias as slashrr and already worked with some very influent artists in the brazilian music scene, names such as: Bhaskar, Tropkillaz and Tuyo.

My main service is offering professional produced instrumental tracks, I got a background experience of 150+ tracks done in the last three years for remote Ghost Producing platforms, mostly in EDM sub-genres such as Trap and Future Bass, but I'm also experienced in doing catchy Pop and House beats.

Interview with Pedro Lucas Ferraz

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: Contemplative

  3. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  4. A: To be honest I don't really have any goals in that matter right now, just anyone who I can connect in a meaningful way.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Keep it simple and don't overthink stuff, it's always okay to go back.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: I try to be as versatille as possible, but I'm mostly used to work on commercial EDM tracks and Pop songs.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Utilizing sounds in a way they are not supposed to be used to create something new.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I try to balance the emotions in a beautiful or shocking way, I believe one of the most important things when producing or just writing a song is the contrast between energy on it's structure, chords, melodies, etc.

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: My work process revolves mostly around experimenting with everything in unusual ways until it sounds right, I usually don't have any idea when I sit in front of my computer to work and it just happens as I lay down melodic or percussive lines from scratch.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I do everything on my bedroom since day one, it started with only a really cheap notebook but now I got a great PC, reference monitors and a acoustic treated room.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: I get most inspired on people who can share a strong vision using simple ideas, or subverting expectatives with their sounds.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: I'm most used to doing full EDM tracks from scratch as a Ghost Producer but I also have experience producing tracks around vocals, working on full album projects and remixes.
