I can't recommend Jordan enough. He nailed the brief first time and he has such a unique distinct tone to his voice, and his control and diction are supreme.

Will definitely be back to work together again.

    Stellar experience.

Interview with The Only Jordan G

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My first personal album. I learned so much more than I thought I would during the creation and perfecting processes of each song. Now that it is complete, it gives me overwhelming inspiration every time I listen to it.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Adding to my personal catalog, and finding another song to release for the individuals that listen to my personal music.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Unfortunately, not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Either or. For me it is mainly about the sound, although analog does tend to output the better sound in most cases.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: To give my full energy to you as my client.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Learning about new people and I also like the process of creating with a new person because everyone is different.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Do you like the song? Yes. Everything I get to be a part of creating I like.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I take things "too" seriously. I want to get excited about working for you and with you, but I can only get as excited as you get.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Explain the who, what, when, where, why, and purpose of the song.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you genuinely like the providers music and style overall before you work with them.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Computer, a source of power, headphones, speakers, and a phone. Mainly so I could at least continue to write lyrics and create songs

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I was an athlete prior to this, and after a couple surgeries from injuries, then decided to focus on my brain instead of my body to show how talented I am and express who I was.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Smooth and soulful.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Any artist that has their own unique sound. For example, Lil Baby.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always listen to your song in the car before you master and release your song to make sure it sounds quality.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Hip Hop music is my base, but usually any and all variations of any genre of music.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Finding the sweet spot within the music to deliver the message the artist intended.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: My energy, sound, and overall expertise on music production/ composition.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I like to brainstorm and outline first, then get to work on creating the masterpiece.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work out of 2 top studios in Arizona. Folded Arms Studio. Deep Roots Studios.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Travis Scott for some reason extremely inspires me with his music.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Songwriting for sure. Whether full song, co-write, or top line, I love to write.
