Interview with Valderrama Flow

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: "Freaky" is the best project I've ever made. I wrote text, made vocal melodies and arrangement.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am working on my new single "BG".

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Everything has its good and bad sides, but small advantage to digital.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: Quality, promptness and responsibility.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Love.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: How good and crazy your text can be, from 0 to ME?

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: I promise quality, promptness and responsibility. I think that's enough.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: Laptop, mic and three beers... 😁

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I started to write in 2010 and I am making my own music since 2013.

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: My style is full of energy and always with a vibe. My vocal is little bit harder with big dose of vibrato. I prefer to perform on dirty and bouncy beats.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: The most important part of good song is VIBE.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: I prefer to work and design with afro rhytms and electronic bases (all types of house music). Dancehall and reggaeton also. Hip hop is my speciality (from boom bap to trap).

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: My strongest skill is writing & vocal harmonies and melodies.

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: Energy and vibe first, then excellent lyrics. Everything is much easier after that.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?

  30. A: I prefer to work with few glasses of beer with my friends and good instrumental.

  31. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  32. A: My work is inspired by hip hop 2000's, dance 90's, afro rhytms and my life.
