Lee Pomeroy on SoundBetter

Bass player for Jeff Lynne's ELO, Yes (ft Anderson, Rabin & Wakeman), Take That, Gary Barlow, Rick Wakeman, Steve Hackett, Chris Braide and many more besides

Having toured and recorded with lots of different artists in varying styles over the years I guess I'd describe myself as a rock player with extras. As well as having played both fretted and fretless bass live I've also played Chapman Stick, Moog bass pedals, Moog synth bass, double neck guitar / bass, rhythm guitar and even the spoons. So I'm happy to do whatever is needed for the song I'm working on.

I also really love being in the studio and working with writers and producers to make a project come alive. I'm happy to play with either a pick, fingers or slap (if that's your thing!) and always work on getting the right sound for the track. And finally, I make a great cup of tea and you always get a choice of biscuits (cookies) with it.

Contact me through the green button above and let's get to work.

Had the experience to work with Lee for a progressive rock inspired track.
He really knows the genre and is capable of generating excellent bass sounds.
He kind of "read our mind" for the bass sound we were thinking off, and nailed it in first take.
Really recommended. Thanks Lee : )

  • Book drummer Richard Brook (Go West, ABC, Holly Johnson) to track with me liveJun 30, 2020

Richard Brook is a drummer I've played with for many years. We first worked together in the year 2000 on a Rick Wakeman gig and we were founding members of the band Headspace with Adam Wakeman.

Tracking together means we can work out parts simultaneously that will be sympathetic to each other.
