Adam Titmuss on SoundBetter

Hey, I'm Adam! I've mixed & mastered countless tracks in a studio environment, I'm an Apple Digital Masters certified engineer and musician based in England.

Get your project mixed in a comprehensive, professional studio in Berkshire, England.

I love music, and I hope to share this passion with artists who need great mixing and a personal service. Working professionally as an engineer for the BBC, I seek to apply my experience here on SoundBetter. Each and every mix is crafted individually, with a creative, artistic touch.

I've worked with a number of local clients in a professional studio environment, providing services such as recording, mixing, mastering, voice overs & drum tracking. I've also worked in countless live environments, for high profile clients such as ITV & Land Rover, as well as in small festivals, concerts and live theatre shows. I have experience working in national radio environments, and on live TV as a sound & broadcast engineer.

I use Logic Pro X and Avid Pro Tools for all mixing, as well as a number of licensed third party DSP plugins from companies such as Waves, Brainworx, Abbey Road, Softube and iZotope.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Adam is great to work with, a really knowledgable and patient guy. He did a great job of applying what he knew to a genre that he hasn't worked too much with. I felt very comfortable leaving my music in his hands, with the results being very professional and everything I asked for.

Interview with Adam Titmuss

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: Gain staging. It's an easy one to omit in modern DAWs, because gain is basically virtual in these environments, but lots of DSP and plugins have a sweet spot in terms of volume (especially those that emulate hardware), so it's easy to hit plugins too hard (or too soft)!

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: Professionalism and perfectionism. I always work to go the extra mile for clients, offering technical and musical advice where appropriate and pushing for the best result possible.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: My system revolves around a Focusrite Red 8Pre, the most advanced conversion offered by the British company to date. I have a comprehensive range of microphones for capture, as well as industry standard outboard gear. My monitoring system consists of Adam and Auratone monitors and a Genelec sub.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: The majority of my work consists of remote mixing and mastering, although I also do a lot of recording in studio and for live shows.
