Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, mixing and mastering engineer. I've written, produced, mixed and mastered all songs of folk duo the Sandman's Orchestra, as well as 6 solo albums (Beyond the Ghost) for US label Cryo Chamber. These albums mix dark ambient, cyberpunk, neo-classical and electronic influences.

I was singer/guitarist of cult French Band Vera Clouzot for 10 years. We played 150 concerts, including support slots for Jeff Buckley and Smog. We recorded 4 albums in pro studios and that's where I started learning everything I could about mixing and mastering. 15 years ago I set up my own home studio, got more and more involved in all aspects of producing, arranging, mixing and mastering. I wrote scores for 2 indie Spanish movies, then focused on my atmospheric folk duo the Sandman's Orchestra and wrote, produced, mixed and mastered our 4 albums. Irish chanteuse Karen Egan hired me to sing a duet with her (in French) on her "Charlatane" album.

I play guitar, bass, banjo, keyboards, drums, percussion and can sing lead or backing vocals in English or in French. I have tons of virtual instruments too.

I'm also interested in sound design. As "Mister Sandman", I've created 3 libraries for Kontakt.

In 2019, I signed with dark ambient label Cryo Chamber as Beyond the Ghost and released 6 successful albums for them, which I wrote, produced, mixed and mastered.

I am passionate and I'm a perfectionist. I have a lot of experience as a musician, producer and songwriter.

Today I want to contribute to other people's music, bring my skills, creativity and musical sensitivity to new projects.

I had the chance to collaborate with Pierre on my first EP "Lightmares" which I released a few years ago, and I can say today that it wouldn't have been the same without him.
First of all, I benefit from his technical expertise on my project, which eventually led me to better production choices.
Then Pierre purposed me some arrangments which all fet the instrumentation and expression I was seeking for, and finally brang his final and exquisite touch with his work on the mastering.

I had the pleasure of working with Pierre when I was making my album Charlatane. I had been interested in Pierre's work and thought it would be great to work together on a project. So I invited him to sing a duet with me in French (J'aime l'amour). He recorded the vocals in his studio and I can say that his dedication and enthusiasm for the project were impeccable. Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My experience as a musician, performer, player and recording engineer. It's important to have a musician's perspective on a song when I mix or master a track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a relatively minimal set up with gear and plug-ins that I know inside out, which ensures great workflow : 27-inch iMac with quad core processor and 32 GBs of RAM, Ableton Live 11 suite, Apogee interface, Michael Joly Engineering boutique microphone, Audio-Technica AT4041, tons of plug-ins and an assortment of instruments : guitars, bass, banjo, electronic drum kit hooked up to EZDrummer 2, percussions, kalimba, mouth organ, harmonicas ...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Mark Nevers, Martine Tucker, Tim Friese-Green, Brian Eno, David Sylvian, Kate Bush, Mark Kozelek, Robert Del Naja
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Singer-songwriter stuff and folk, mainly, but also soul, pop, rock and electronica. I also love old-school hip-hop and making beats/instrumentals
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: In September 2018, my folk duo The Sandman's Orchestra released "The Ninth Wave", a reinterpretation of Kate Bush's B-side to her classic Hounds of Love album. It's something that hadn't been attempted before. I played all instruments, sang some backing vocals, arranged, produced, mixed and mastered the album.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'm a perfectionist. Nothing makes me happier than a job well done. I'm easy to communicate with and I'm open-minded. I can promise my clients I'll work to the best of my abilities until we are both satisfied with the result.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let's talk! Tell me about you, your vision, your musical references.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like a warm, organic sound. I like to keep the dynamics and flow of the song and not over-compress things.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Finding a good atmosphere for the song, either in my choice of instrumentation or in my mixing choices.
