  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: studio one v3 (pro), presonus audiobox 1818vsl interface ADAT connected with presonus digimax d8, samson s-com plus compressor, behringer mdx2600 compressor, alesis v49 midi controller, shure sm57 mic, shure sm58 mic, cad gxl3000bp microphone, cad gxl2200bp microphone, presonus hp60 headphone amp, presonus e66 moniters, ibanez ts9dx guitar overdrive, horizon devices precision drive pedal

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: both, analog is great but its expensive, digital plugins and so forth are doing well emulating analog

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: My promise is what i give you will be professional and radio ready from my home studio.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: The people i work with, So far very few problems, everyone i worked with as been great at communicating what they want and have definitely helped me out with furthering my techniques and skills

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: If they can see work samples, A lot of people i recorded in my area didn't want to let me use them as a portfolio but i have a few songs on my sound cloud portfolio.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: audio engineer, i started my career path 2015, I spent most the time recording myself but i got a few friends and practiced with them.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: mixing, mastering and editing music

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: my home studio wont have great results.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are your goals? What can i do to help you? How can we work together to help the success of you and my studios future? What is your budget? How can you help my studio if i help give you what you need?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: try to have the best recorded tracks you can so we can give you the best mix we can, Be prepared for us to say something about bad recording or performance when we take a look at it, dont take it in a bad way either! we want to help you guys succeed and it starts with your performance/what goes in the microphone

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: computer, monitors, interface, guitar, microphone

  23. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: rings of saturn, would be a very good challenge for me, especially with aaron stechauners drumming.

  25. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  26. A: i typically would prefer metal genre music, but i have received mainly jazz, RnB music and hip hop which I have done very well, i hope to expand my music portfolio with all genres

  27. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  28. A: My ability to listen to the artist and give them want they want

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: a great mixdown of your music in a well treated, friendly and organized home studio, i'm still learning but that has not stopped my mixes from being remotely bad, I have no doubt that my mixes and services will not disappoint you

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: start with talking client on how many tracks need work and services needed, i will review tracks and (if needed) i will talk about any revisions in the recording of the song (if possible, anything good coming in is good coming out, i want to give you the best), basic mixing, track editing (if anything drastic will talk to client about chnages), full mix, if mastering is needed will wait one day and go back to finish mastering, will give a WAV. file through email (or whatever i specify) and will ask if i could use the mix for my own portfolio, if yes then i will post the song on my soundcloud with artist credentials
