  2. A: How I get my distorted guitar tones to sound so clear. And the answer is to use less gain.

  8. A: Buy a decent set of monitor speakers.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: My ability to implement a particular vibe or feeling into my music.

  11. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  12. A: I wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered my first 'untitled' EP a couple of years ago.

  13. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  14. A: I am starting a new project with another guitarist. We have a new song we're writing right now.

  18. A: Digital. It's the future.

  20. A: Quality over quantity.

  22. A: Being my own boss.

  24. A: Master tracks. I don't do mastering.

  26. A: Be very specific with the end result that you want.

  27. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  28. A: My guitar, laptop, interface, studio monitors, and guitar effects processor.

  29. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  30. A: Two years ago I studied Sound and Music Recording at Recording Arts Canada in Montreal, QC. I now work as a free-lance audio engineer.

  31. Q: How would you describe your style?

  32. A: Instrumental, progressive metal.

  33. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  34. A: Progressive metal, and soundtracks.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Flow.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I correspond with my clients over the web. They usually send me the stem tracks of a song they would like me to mix, or I compose original material under their request.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have a fairly sleek and intricate studio setup. My studio is located in my basement, in a very large, acoustically-treated room.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I am inspired by such acts as; Chimp Spanner, Tesseract, and Wide Eyes.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I compose, mix, and engineer music for my clients.
