Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I have no set rules of things I do for a mix. I rarely look at meters or waveforms and mix completely by feeling. It almost always sounds better in the end this way!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The number one question I ask is if they have any questions! I usually provide my clients with a checklist of things and a helpful FAQ pdf to get them started so we can get to work on their project asap!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I truly believe gear doesn't make a record sound good - its the performance and ear of the people working on the album. And by the way, who brings gear to a deserted island?!?
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of all the projects I work on. I know it sounds cheesy, but I'm serious! I love meeting and working with people that are passionate about their music. It inspires me.

A: Q: Why are you so cheap? A: We've recently switched to an exclusively online mixing, mastering, and production studio and are actively networking with new musicians, bands, and producers.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Radiohead. This is out of my typical genre, but I feel I could learn so much about feeling and vibe of a song working with this talented group!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I go out of my way to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. I'm very patient and more than willing to help assist you in any way possible to make the best final product.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: If you need a songwriter, JT Roach is your man. He writes very catchy hooks and is a great guitar player that works in a world class studio.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: 99% digital. I'll keep it short and sweet. Digital allows me to provide fast, efficient mixing and mastering services with unlimited revisions for 10 days. Analog requires significantly more time, upkeep, calibration and recalling sessions will never sound exactly the same. Digital saves my customers time and money!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will make sure you leave with a song that you are proud of. I stand behind my unlimited revision policy and will work with you until the project is perfect.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Hearing new and exciting music and meeting new people.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone that has a sound you like. If you want your album to sound like a particular record, then contact that engineer or producer to work on your album! Otherwise you might be disappointed.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began by playing guitar in a hard rock band and started recording and producing out of necessity. I started recording and mixing my friends bands and it great into what it is today, 15 years later.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I specialize in modern, aggressive, beat driven music. If you want a song that will hit you like a truck, you came to the right place.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Capture a performance! That is one of the only things I can't fix in the mix.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Metal, hard rock, EDM, rap, and other beat driven genres.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring an objective viewpoint that can identify problems with arrangements, instrumentation, or balance and have solutions to fix them. I can program drums and play guitar and bass to add additional instrumentation if necessary. My mixes are known for the aggressive rhythm section - especially my drum sound in metal records.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We discuss the musical vision for the project, you submit the multitrack or mixdown, and I send you a mix check within 10 days. If any adjustments are needed, we make those until the song is perfect.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have analog and digital gear and run out of the latest version of Cubase 9.5. My control room is acoustically treated so you can rest assured your mixes will translate!

A: Bands and musicians come to me for my post production work and mixing & mastering. I often assist in polishing pre-recorded songs by fixing arrangement issues and smoothing transitions, pitch correcting vocals, adding additional vocal harmonies and other instrumentation to widen the soundscape, and tightening up performances.
