Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: It was an EP I co-produced and released with a fellow Midwest artist named Cherry Luna called "Bloodred". She's a singer and producer who specializes in Alternative Pop and it was awesome to get to work with her and combine our different talents and sounds to make something that had a real positive impact on listeners.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Besides my work with my current clients I'm also doing some more solo projects to self release.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: I'd like to shoutout a singer and songwriter from Nashville named Netherina Noble who is a previous collaborator and incredible musician, performer and overall person!

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: I'd say digital just for the ease of access but analog does have a nice feel to it most of the time as well.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: A real in depth and communicative experience. I'm here to serve your needs and help assist in helping you reach your goals!

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Being able to wake up and just create and also to change and leave a positive impact on peoples lives.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: How many revisions do you offer? What genres do you primarily work in? Who have you worked with in the past?

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That I'll be able to fix or work with someone who's unorganized and unprepared. Anyone who comes to me with a lack of professionalism is definitely not an area I can help with no matter what skills I posses.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Do you have any references or specific songs you can share that are in the style you’re looking for? Where will you be recording vocals? What is your budget for this? What is your due date for this?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Be as clear and as detailed as possible with your project and what you're looking to do upfront. The more detail and honesty the better.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: 1. Laptop with FL Studio 2. Headphones 3. Internet Router 4. MIDI Keyboard 5. Speakers

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I originally set out to be a music writer but eventually I dove into music production around 2016 and never looked back! From there I also launched my own music podcast in 2020 and have been active on that side of things as well which has been exciting.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I'd say It's a good blend of simple melodies and drums that hit with enough changes throughout to keep it interesting.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I'm really just down to work with anyone who is a good fit and has a good creative energy and chemistry. As long as I feel I can contribute to what they have going on or what they're looking to accomplish.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Keeping things simple especially when working with artists. It's important to develop your skills in sound selection and song structure to tailor your tracks in a way that the singer or MC can hear themselves on it which will ultimately lead to more collaborations.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I mostly work within the realm of Hip-Hop and R&B with some light Pop mixed in as well.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: My strongest skill would be leading custom work on both single tracks and full projects. I love being able to guide the process from start to finish and help bring their vision to life in a way they might not have thought of at first.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I always feel I bring in the real human emotion in the music that can help an artist craft a story in their songwriting process. Essentially I try and bring out a real untapped side of their ability to create a song that could effect the listener in a much different way. Both through the musical aspects and the conversations that can guide us to the end result.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: For any song I'm working on I tend to approach it with the end result in mind. Weather it's for an artist or just free form creation I tend to start with the melodic side first and get a base going before adding any bassline, percussion or extra elements in. Overall I keep the end in mind each time depending on what the overall intention for the track(s) will be in the long run.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I work mostly in the box with my laptop and the software FL Studio. I use two MIDI keyboards (the M-Audio Axiom Air 32 and the M-Audio Oxygen 49) as well as the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x pro headphones for creation.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: My favorites are Hit-Boy, DJ Dahi and No I.D.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I do mostly custom beats and production work for artists in the Hip-Hop and R&B space.
