My name is Michael Starr.....singer and working musician. Recently, my management requested that we “remake” some cover songs for an upcoming album of covers used to create enthusiasm during the long COVID 19 hiatus.Immediately, I signed on Derek Hughes, owner and Proprietor of Hughes Recording Studio, LLC, to produce and manage all aspects of the project. The production and recording process was efficient and precise. The producer, Derek Hughes offered critical insights into the project making my “old” covers modern and rocking. Top notch production at a working musician price.

Derrek offers an amazing service offering his unique talents in recording, mixing, and mastering.
Being a multi-talented musician himself he plays guitar bass and drums, he understands the process and what it takes to form a solid
    Partnership with his clients.
From start to finish he is willing to take the time to reach perfection, or as close to it as one can be.
He also is a great guy, highly intelligent and intuitive we formed a bond during our recording that will last a lifetime for us.
