I always tried to imitate what I liked, but I eventually realized I wouldn't discover my authentic voice that way. Now I help other artists find their own unique sound.

Hi I'm Andre Standalone, a Producer and Mixing Engineer from Bologna, Italy.
My speciality is modern Pop and I can go from Soul/R'n'b to Lofi Trip-hop, to Dance and hard-hitting Electronic.

I grew up playing classical music and then spent more than a decade playing bass (and sometimes drums) in Punk and Rock bands. I studied mixing @ Fonoprint Studios (Bologna, Italy), started producing as a hobby in 2013 and went full time only recently.

AS A PRODUCER
You can send me a vocal recording and the chords (midi, piano or guitar) and I will produce a full custom-made and radio-ready song based on your ideas and visions. I'm a 360 degree producer: I write, produce beat, arrange songs and play several instruments.
I want to inspire you with creative sounds, beats, hooks and atmospheres. I always emphasize importance of effective communication to fully understand your vision of the style, sound and aesthetic for the production .

AS A MIXING ENGINEER
You can send me separate tracks or projects sessions (on Cubase, Logic Pro and Ableton Live). Price depends on the number of tracks so please contact me for

Interview with Andre Standalone

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I discuss the mood, the energy and the requests with the client before starting to work. I often ask for reference tracks to make sure we're all on the same page.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually I receive a vocal take with piano or guitar, I write a full arrangement and produce the full finished track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work on Cubase, Ableton live and Logic Pro. Have an i9 hackintosh with 32gb of ram and a Fireface Ufx for recording. Dynaudio Lyd7 as speakers. Main vocal mic is a WA87. Many analog synth, guitars, basses and percussion instruments.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: To always work harder and better!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Most of the time pop, soul/r'n'b, indie, trip hop and electronica.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am very focused on the artist's vision for a song, so first and foremost I would say I am a good listener. My priority is bringing that vision to life, connecting with the song's emotional world and resonating with it, enabling it, enhancing it.
