My focus is on taking YOUR creative vision from your head to the ears of others.
Impulse Melody Productions is headed by me, Keith Elliott. I can't imagine anything I would like to do more than help to fill the world with incredible music. As a multi-instrumentalist and "all-in" producer, I can help take your songs from inception to radio and sync-ready full productions that put your songs first, helping them to shine through in the best possible light.
I am a graduate of the film scoring department at Berklee College of Music. Having studied in great detail how music works with picture, I am able to look at songs through a cinematic lens, making my productions ideal for artists seeking placements in film, television, and advertisements. As a songwriter myself, I also understand how important remaining authentic to the artist is, so I will work tirelessly to ensure that the finished product is something you can be proud of and is absolutely authentic to you.

Keith is a dream to work with. From the very first contact he was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I look forward to every new song we work on because I know we will get the best production, sound, and service every time. He's a complete powerhouse: vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, mixing and mastering engineer. I am completely impressed with his talents and team player attitude. I wished I worked with more people like him, thanks Keith!
Working with Keith was a pure joy. He and I clicked right away and our styles seemed to blend nicely. I submitted my demos and we talked about ideas and direction for the songs. Keith and I worked on 3 songs together and each track ended up so animated and alive far beyond anything I could have done on my own. He really has a unique musical mind and way of bringing tracks to life and I would certainly recommend working with him if you get the opportunity.
Interview with Impulse Melody Productions
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Figure out what emotion/feeling is meant to be evoked by a song. Every decision you make in the production process should take that into consideration. Evoking an emotional response, be it excitement, sadness, anger, whatever is what music is all about to me.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually find myself working on indie rock/pop stuff, but I do dabble in more straight-ahead pop and I have a background in film scores and progressive rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'd say that what I'm best at is being able to interpret the artist's vision for their song and shed light on all of the best parts, creating a finished production that does exactly what they wanted it to do. That's the type of feedback I tend to get from clients.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: A majority of the time, clients will bring me a demo (work-tape) version of their song and we'll talk about what they were aiming for with the song. If they don't provide references, I'll usually ask for a couple so that we can get it in the ballpark right away. I'll then complete the entire instrumental production, incorporate their final vocals, adding background vocals if desired, and mix it. I deliver a master for the full mix, instrumental mix, and stems to make everything easier for if and when they get a sync placement and the instrumental or stems are needed.
