Stanley Springer III on SoundBetter

Let's work!

My name is Stanley Springer III, I am a recording/mix engineer from Nashville, Tennessee; currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. I've been working in the industry for 5 years and am currently employed at Atlantic Records & UMPG as a tracking engineer. I've worked with a lot of talented songwriters and popular artists such as Omarion, Roddy Ricch, 600 Breezy, Sevyn Streeter, James Fauntleroy, Alley Brooke and many others.

I love recording/mixing for singers but ironically love producing trap and hip hop beats.

Tell me about your project and how I can help. Connect with me through the 'Contact' button above.

Interview with Stanley Springer III

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I worked on both B2K tours, and we had to re-record all the B2K/Omarion songs for their setlist. We didn't have access to stems or show tracks. So it was cool to re record all those vocals and try to make it sound like the original more mature.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Digital, Ive been in the box for most of my career. Its just easier for me to pull up sessions and send things out when Im on the go.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: Laptop (protools & logic), Waves bundle, UAD apollo with UAD plugins, Headphones (m50x) and U87

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: My production has been described sometimes as jazzy melodies over hard drums. My mix styles can sometimes be on the clean side.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid)

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: Ranges from what the job entails but I usually like to start by listening to the material, asking a couple questions, organizing if I need to and then starting the work. My preferred times to work are early afternoon or later in the night, but Im pretty flexible.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Most type of work I do is tracking and mixing on the daily, and also some producing as well.

  15. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  16. A: I promise to give your 100% every time and make sure your happy with your song.

  17. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  18. A: I like the process of starting with a blank canvas whether it's a random sound, dope melody, 808 or whatever and transforming it into something that people will enjoy.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Listening, interpreting and delivering the best product to the client.
